The issue with TE's and downline builders is... Most TE's nowadays have a downline builder where you can put your ID's in, by all means keep on doing that! However the number of programs listed in the downline builder is limited in most cases. Some larger TE's have usually a bit more however I have seen many that have listed only 5-10.
When somebody signs up for such a TE you are lucky to get a sign up in one one the programs you filled out your ID for. Why is that? For one thing, there are programs and TE's that have been around so long that practically everyone already is a member except from the occasional newby just starting with only business. Mind you, with current economy there are a lot of those so always worthwhile to fill your ID's out.
At SBT we currently have about 300 programs, lists, services and TE's in the downline builder and more are added every day. So the odds are much higher to get sign ups when you get a sign up for surf-bar-traffic than in any other TE. You can even list your own affiliate program or business provided it is legitimate and not yet listed.
So by using SBT as your traffic funnel (promoting only SBT in other TE's is the best) your surfing is more effective in more than one way. Since you only have to have enough credits to have 1 site shown you can spend less time surfing. Your sign ups in other TE's for SBT are all potential sign ups for all programs you filled out your ID for.
Additionally you will earn a lot of credits (and cash when they upgrade) in SBT which allows you to show your favorite sites in the surf-bar. And all your sign ups will earn you additional credits in SBT! You will be able to cut drastically on surfing time in a matter of months IF you consequently follow the traffic funneling system. Last part is most difficult; it is very tempting to promote the hottest program of the moment in other TE's but you will only break down the effect of the traffic funneling. You see, for every program you list in other TE's you have to earn additional credits to get them shown. You will end up like the guy in the picture.

Suppose somebody signs up for TE Something and he/she goes through the downline builder of that TE, it is possible that there is a program listed there that is not yet listed in SBT and he/she signs up for it. That why it is important to fill out your ID's everywhere.
